Hoosier Great Dane Rescue, official affiliate of the Great Dane Club of America, is an organization dedicated to the placement of neglected, abandoned, or otherwise unwanted Great Danes into loving and permanent homes. Before placement, all Great Danes are spayed/neutered (no exceptions), current on all vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm preventive, and free of any other parasites. Temperaments are evaluated to be sure the dogs can and will become good family members. New adoptive families receive any available medical history, including dates of all vaccinations. New adoptive families are required to sign an adoption contract agreeing that their new Dane will be kept indoors as a housepet, and agreeing that they accept all responsibility for their new pet. Hoosier Great Dane Rescue is funded by adoption fees and donations. 100% of the adoption fee goes directly to offset medical expenses, as well as costs for food, paperwork, phone calls, ads to help place dogs, etc.
