Stephens County Animal Control

Who We Are Stephens County Friends of the Shelter is the newly formed (12/09/05) Auxiliary for the Stephens County Animal Control Shelter. SC Friends is a Non-Profit Corporation organized under the State of Georgia. We are a small group of dedicated animal lovers whose mission is to reduce the number of euthanasias at our shelter by providing an on-site and off-site adoption program, maintain a Web site, and do fund raising. We are currently in the process of applying for non-profit 501c3 tax status and our goals include fundraising in order to raise money for a new shelter, build a low-cost vet clinic, and a library dedicated to humane education.
