Lafayette Animal AidWe are a no-kill shelter in Lafayette (Carencro), LA that houses at the shelter, on average, 65 dogs and 65 cats. We also provide for more animals living in foster homes. All of our animals are current on shots, and all are spayed/neutered. Cats are tested and vaccinated for Feluk and FIV. Dogs are tested for heartworms and if necessary, treated. We do not discriminate against any animal due to size, age, color, breed, or behavioral problems, unless the animal is too aggressive for our volunteers to handle and poses a threat to other animals and volunteers. Intakes are dependent upon availability of space at the shelter. Adoption fees for both cats and dogs are $80.00.P. O.
