AVERY COUNTY N C HUMANE SOCIETY INCThe Avery County Humane Society, organized in 1978 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of western North Carolina. The Humane Society built an animal shelter in 1988 to help the many lost and unwanted cats and dogs in the county.
