St. Johns Humane Services

We are an animal care and adoption centre operated by the City of St. John's that offers the following services: * provides shelter and medical care for animals that are roaming the streets, injured, lost or abandoned. * rescues injured animals that have been struck by automobiles or suffered some other form of injury. * delivers legal notices to owners who allow their pets to roam the streets or cause a public disturbance. * operates an after hour emergency service for calls involving aggressive and/or injured dogs and cats. *educates the public on responsible pet ownership and animal welfare issues. * finds new, responsible homes for as many homeless pets as is possible. * issues pet i.d. tags and keeps a computerized registration system. * keeps lost and found animal reports
