Jodie's Jiggley Piggley Rescue

My 11 year old daughter Jodie, and myself, founded Jodie's Jiggley Piggley Farm back in September 2002. As long time guinea pig owners, we decided we would like to take in a few needy little oinkers. Our snowballing project went from a few small cages on the basement counter, to an entire guinea pig room that often spilled over to the rest of the house too! Then came a website, fund raising, publicity planning and even volunteers! Our little hobby had really taken on a life of it's own. It is unfortunate that so many guinea pigs need rescuing, but they are most often considered disposable pets, and are aquired for children, with little or no commitment from the adults in the family.
