Michigan Pekingese RescueWe are Pekingese lovers who foster and re-home homeless Pekingese. Each Peke is checked by a veterinarian, brought up to date on shots, neutered, and a dental done if necessary. They are also tested for heartworm -- then put on preventative. We have no shelter, so the dogs are kept in volunteer foster homes until placed. This gives us a better chance to evaluate the dog in a home setting before placement. We receive no federal or state funding, only donations. Since we are run by volunteers only, all donations go to the care and feeding of our Pekes. We also provide education to prospective adopters and work with Peke owners to educate them about thier dogs. If you would like to volunteer, please fill out our adoption/volunteer form.
