Twisted Oaks Animal RescueTwisted Oaks Animal Rescue, the Exotic Division of the Animal Protection Coalition, is a 501(c)3 not for profit Organization. It is our mission to provide a temporary rest stop for unwanted, abused or neglected animals. Although we try to never turn away an animal in need, our main areas of focus are Guinea Pigs, goats, pigs, llamas, horses, sheep and fowl. We are a private home in Southwestern Michigan, and we provide our own time and resources for shelter, quality food, training and rehabilitation to care for animals in need of a safe haven. We operate soley on donations, and any funds received go towards food, medical needs, bedding, and anything else involved in animal care. Our goal is to end the cycle of abuse and neglect which is all to often found with "livestock". We strive to find PERMANENT placement where these animals will be treated like members of the family, are loved & nurtured for the duration of their lives. Vicky's Pet ConnectionVicky's Pet Connection is a growing non-profit organization in Kent County. Our mission is to rescue and recycle unwanted pets and to emphasize low/no cost spays and neuters. Every dog and cat that passes through VPC is sterilized. We are a "no kill" organization working to secure foster homes for the many animals that pass through our door. WAGSWonderful and Grateful Strays Sanctuary is a place on earth where pets, that have been abandoned, abused, or neglected, can stay while a loving home is found for them. I specialize in the "one of a kind" breeds because the mixes are usually the first ones abandoned and the last to be chosen. So my heart go out these special kids. W.A.G.S. has placed hundreds of rescued pets, from off the streets, as well as, the precious adoptable pets that have landed in local animal control shelters that were not adopted and are scheduled for being put down to make room for the incoming. Spirits are re-energized and sad memories are replace with miles of daily romps and endless playtime if they choose.
