Buddy FoundationThe Buddy Foundation of Arlington Heights, Illinois was established by the concerned and caring animal lovers from Chicago’s Northwest Suburbs, based on the necessity for a quality no-kill animal shelter. We are strictly an all volunteer organization with all funding - from adoption fees to our many fundraisers - benefiting the animals in our care. The Buddy Foundation is dedicated to finding good, loving, responsible homes for the dogs/puppies and cats/kittens that we foster. Our goal is to help them become cherished family members and receive the attention and gentle kindness they so deserve. Illinois Heart BanditsWe are Illinois Heartbandits chapter of Heart Bandits American Eskimo Dog Rescue. We cover Illinois, Indiana, and parts of Kentucky along with our sister chapter Snowbird Eskie Rescue. Heart Bandits Inc. is a national not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to rescuing American Eskimo dogs or "Eskies". Our dogs come from owner surrenders, shelters, humane societies, and other all breed rescue groups. We work closely with other Heart Bandits chapters nationwide. We also work with animal control, shelters and humane societies in our area. All of our work is voluntary. Our reward comes from the love and affection given to us by our dogs, and the joy of seeing them sent off to deserving families. Unfortunately that doesn't pay the bills for dog food, medicines, vet care, transportation, etc. Funding is always a problem. Our expenses are only partially offset by our adoption fees. "In Your Heart" Pekingese and Small Dog RescueAll donations go toward the care of the Animals and Our Ever Growing Vet Bill. All dogs are Vet-checked, up-to-date on shots, Micro-Chipped, and spayed or neutered if age permits. If they are too young, they are adopted out on contract, and we do follow through. We are an all-volunteer group. The dogs are in private foster homes, not centrally located in a shelter. No one is considered for potential adoption without an approved application on file.
