The Warren County Humane Society is run by an elected volunteer board and is not affiliated with any government agency. Our main source of income is from contributions and fund raisers. Anyone with questions on our polices, or how they are administered my call the shelter during normal operating hours. We require 24 to 48 hour waiting period before adoptions are finalized. All animals are spayed or neutered before adoptions are complete. We match pets to people to reduce the chance of bad adoptions. Stop at our shelter and see all the available pets and complete an adoption form.

We are compassionate people who are entirely too aware of the pet overpopulation crisis in our country. We work full-time jobs in areas other than animal care and voluntarily provide our own funds and homes to doomed animals in the Sacramento area. We enjoy a very special bond to bull breed dogs. We love their goofy grins, wiggly behinds and playful antics.

NIPRA's mission is...
To rescue, care for, and find suitable homes for unwanted, stray, or abandoned Pugs. To reduce pet overpopulation by increasing public awareness of the need to spay and neuter pets. To provide education programs promoting the humane treatment of animals. This mission is accomplished through the dedication and energy of our small shelter staff, board of directors, and legion of faithful volunteers.
We are a "virtual" organization. We are an all volunteer organization and we do not have an "office" where you can come see the dogs during office hours. The dogs are all fostered at volunteer's homes.
