Cat Haven Inc.Cat Haven is an all-volunteer nonprofit rescue organization for homeless cats and kittens in the Baton Rouge area. Cat Haven was founded in October 1999. Since inception, Cat Haven has placed over 3000 rescued cats in loving new homes. Cat Haven also has an active spay/neuter advocacy program (our Fix-A-Feline program has altered over 600 cats)and feral cat management program (which has trapped, tested, altered and released over 1200 cats). Capital Area Animal Welfare Society (CAAWS)Capital Area Animal Welfare Society (CAAWS) is an all-volunteer non-profit humane society devoted to the prevention of animal suffering. CAAWS has been serving the people and animals of Baton Rouge since 1979 by placing cats and dogs in loving homes and educating the public about responsible pet ownership. CAAWS is not a shelter, but an adoption agency, which places animals in foster homes until they are adopted. In this way we try to prepare the animals for the experience of living in a home environment. We are a no-kill humane society.
