Madison County Humane SocietyThe Madison County Humane Society, Inc., was formed August 1985. Since that time it has served companion animals and their owners in the area. The Madison County Humane Society is an independent, non-profit agency. We are not a division of any County or City and are not funded by any governmental entity or national animal welfare organization. We are a small, grassroots 501c3 corporation and are governed by a volunteer board of directors. Fauquier SPCAThe Fauquier SPCA was founded in 1957 to offer protection and assistance to the animals of Fauquier County and surrounding areas. The SPCA lived up to its name almost immediately. Barely two weeks after it was organized, the SPCA went to the rescue of some starving livestock, whose owner was subsequently convicted of cruelty to animals.
