Churubusco Shelter/Hearts Path RescueChurubusco Shelter is located in Churubusco, NY. It is a small municipal kennel located within the Highway Dept. garage. The dogs that can be found there are ones that have been picked up by animal control. This shelter has three options for its animals- reissue, adopt or euthanize. Currently most animals offered by Hearts Path Rescue are at foster homes or rescuers homes. A few animals remain at thier current owners homes and are trying to be placed for the animals benefit. Elmore SPCAElmore SPCA is a small animal shelter handling animals from several towns in Clinton County, NY. We are doing our best to find homes for the many Dogs, cats and various small animals who find their way here. We also have several animals, who will remain in our care permanently due to injury or illness that requires specialized care and attention. Southern Breezethe owner of the farm, started this facility after a numerous amount of livestock, horses and smaller farm animals were found to be homeless. This includes horses, goats, geese, chickens, and other animals. Kelly Allen is the manager of the Elmore SPCA in Peru, and she is also the Cruelty investigator for the northern New York area. Some of the animals at our facility have been seized under the cruelty laws of New York State. We also have handicapped and disabled animals that are up for adoption depending on the special needs.
