CRC is a non-profit nature center and wildlife hospital founded in 1987. CRC's Mission is to preserve a healthy, viable population of birds of prey and other wildlife in their natural habitat. To accomplish this, CRC has two primary goals:
Public Education designed to enhance the awareness, respect, appreciation, and care of the earth and all its inhabitants so critical for a balanced and healthy planet. CRC uses live, permanently disabled/non-releasable birds, along with visual media and written material, to create a positive, first-hand experience of wildlife through
â—Šon-site visits to the Nature Center
â—Šoff-site presentations and exhibits at schools and public events.
Rehabilitation and release of orphaned, sick, and injured wildlife, primarily birds of prey (raptors), using the highest standards of medical treatment and care, and the best facilities possible.

MISSION STATEMENT
Our purpose is to reduce the overpopulation problem in our community and to improve the quality of life for our pets.
ABOUT SAVE THE PETS
Save the Pets is a non-profit 501(c) (3). Their goal is to help eliminate the pet overpopulation problem by increasing adoption rates in our community and educating people on the importance of spaying and neutering their pets. They help local shelters and rescue groups by creating a venue to showcase their animals that are available for adoption. They have proven that off-site adoption events are successful which inspires them to move forward with their goal of opening an animal adoption center. Save the Pets is run solely by volunteers who advocate for the rights of animals to be treated with the respect and kindness they deserve. To date Save the Pets has helped to place over 300 animals into loving home since thier inception in April 2007.
FUTURE PLANS
Eventually Save the Pets plans on launching a capital campaign to open a conveniently located animal adoption center for animals to be viewed 7 days a week by potential adopters.
Save the Pets believes that a center would improve adoption rates because of the convenience and friendly environment they envision. It would also serve as a rehabilitation center for animals who have never been inside a home or for some that are terrified from past experiences or their time confined in a cage.
Save the Pets feels that creating a safe environment for the animals would allow them to thrive and, in some cases, regain their loss of trust. The center would constitute a home-like atmosphere where cats are free to roam, perch or enjoy sunning themselves in a cozy bed, and where dogs can lounge on a comfy couch, take a walk around the community or go home in the evening with a volunteer or staff member for a "doggy sleepover".
There are thousands of homeless animals in Lane County alone and many end up in shelters or have a worse fate on the streets fending for themselves. Some are euthanized simply due to lack of space. This is no fault of the shelters or rescue groups who dedicate their lives to saving animals. Save the Pets wants to alleviate some of the burden placed on these groups and unite for the greater good of the animals.

Deaf Dane Rescue Inc. (an Oregon non-profit corporation, Reg #097803-96) is an independent Great Dane rescue organization that services the needs of deaf and other special needs Danes exclusively. Deaf Dane Rescue Inc. believes it is important to give each dog a head start by not only having experienced people evaluate them, but also by jump-starting their socialization process through the use of immersion techniques. Deaf Dane Rescue Inc. uses a placement contract to protect the dogs and new owners in case there are any problems with a placement, and is always willing to take a dog back after placement for any reason. Deaf Dane Rescue Inc. will assess, train, and if possible, place any special needs Dane. Prior to placement, every Dane will be trained with the basic hand commands, including commands such as sit, down, good boy (girl), come, go, stay, no, and whatever other commands might be required.

We are a non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible. We are a no-kill organization which means that we only euthanize for humane reasons (severe health reasons). Our animals are never euthanized simply because they are unwanted. We now do adoptions 7 days a week from noon to 5 PM (summer hours until 6PM). We use foster homes in addition to the pets being at our adoption center so they are not caged daily. All of our cats are combo tested plus they are already spayed/neutered and microchiped. Vaccinations will be at least started. All this is included in the adoption fee. A spay/neuter certificate is not needed.
