The Southaven Animal Shelter is dedicated to placing our animals into healthy, loving homes. The Southaven Animal Control Division is run with a pro-active approach. We want to prevent the mistreatment of our city animals as well as keep pet owners aware of the proper care, shelter and protection a pet requires. We are desperately trying to help control the pet over-population by enforcing mandatory spay or neuter upon adoption

Southeast Pug Rescue Adoption, Inc. was formed in 1990 to aid in placing lost, surrendered or abandoned pugs in loving, caring homes primarily in the Southeast. Although, we will take *any* pug in need from any place. we also have affilaite groups in Alabama and Missouri. We are an all volunteer, 501(c)(3), not for profit organization dedicated to our pugs. SEPRA will take any and all pugs regardless of age, health and/or temperament, and also takes pug mixes. Our pugs come from a variety of avenues including shelters, surrenders, and even found wandering down the streets. All pugs are placed in foster care with dedicated volunteers for evaluation and vet-work, which includes: shots, spaying/neutering and treatment for any illnesses, if necessary. We've had many come through with heartworms, hip problems, eye problems, broken limbs etc. We will treat all. Due to this, there is an adoption fee to help recover the never ending vet bills (donations are also gladly accepted as well.)

SESR was formed because we saw a need for the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of Shetland Sheepdogs. All of our shelties live indoors in private family homes where they receive love, training, and excellent care. We do not have a shelter or outdoor kennels. Our shelties are adopted by families in the Southeast and occasionally from longer distances.
