Second Chance Rottweiler Rescue, Inc. is located in Northern California. We are a nonprofit organization recognized by both the IRS and the state of California. We are made up of a small group of volunteers who donate their own time and money to rescue the Rotties. All donations go directly to helping the Rotties and our volunteers take nothing for themselves or for "administrative" expenses. The goal of Second Chance Rottweiler Rescue Inc. (SCRR) is to rescue Rottweilers from kill animal shelters, humane societies and other rescue organizations where otherwise the dogs would be euthanized. The Rottweilers in our care are neutered, spayed, vaccinated, treated for health issues, tested for heartworm and placed on Heartworm Preventative. The foster home will also begin basic training or reinforce training whenever necessary. Our organization will do reference checks and home checks for prospective adoptive families. Our goal is simple, the right Rottweiler for the right home. We begin the adoption process through an Online Application that is available on our web site. We rarely accept personal surrenders but if you are interested in finding a new home for your Rottie we would be happy to place your dog on our web page if you send us a picture and a biography of the dog (preferably via email). http://www.tvpup.com/asecondChance/scrr.html

The Sanctuary is a no kill shelter that is set up primarily for cats, and run by unpaid volunteers, most of whom work. Adoptable cats are housed in our "Cat Court" and we provide food and shelter for a large population of altered feral cats in a bay in our barn. Young kittens are fostered in volunteer homes. Our funding is entirely from donations, adoption fees, and fundraisers.
