Oodles of Poodles is a rescue organization primarily for poodles, although we have been known to take in other death row doggies because we just couldn't stand the thought of them not finding a loving home. We are dedicated to finding a loving home for each of our animals in rescue.

Open Arms ResQ & Refurral is a home based rescue that deals with all types of animals. While we mainly deal with cats and dogs we are open to take in birds and exotics, including reptiles. We also have many referrals that we will gladly pass along if we can not take the animal in ourselves. All of our rescues stay in the house with us and live as part of the family. We have no kennels and none of our animals are segregated within the house. We are always happy to answer any questions on specific breeds, nutrition or just general education.

We are a group located in the Mid-South area that is dedicated to rescuing homeless dogs from neglected, helpless situations. We have rescued a few felines, bunnies and reptiles as well. We are not able to accept owner surrenders or animals from individuals. Since we do not have a public facility, "foster parents" bring these animals into their homes where they are lovingly cared for, rehabilitated, socialized and carefully placed with compatible people who are willing to be their lifelong friend.

OBAH began September 2005 after Hurricane Kartina devastated the gulf coast. Our founder, Caryn Majeskie, realized that there was a desperate need for people to get into the areas for search and rescue as well as feeding and watering the animals on the streets. Once the news broke, local news stations and newspapers took ahold of the story and the operation took off. Our goals and dreams are to continue our work as a search and rescue team and have a facility that will represent a home where we can house the animals until permanent families are found.
