Hermitage Cat ShelterThe Hermitage Cat Shelter is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, supported entirely by donations. We are Arizona's first no-kill, no-cage sanctuary and adoption shelter. The Hermitage is dedicated to the shelter, protection and care of homeless cats, especially those that are often not considered adoptable by other organizations. The shelter currently provides care for 400 cats and kittens in a clean and comfortable environment. Our facility comprises approximately 4,000 square feet indoors, with an additional 4,000 square feet of entirely fenced-in, covered outdoor areas. Hi Plains Animal RescueWhile we do not have an actual shelter here, we try to help save animals from the terrible fates that await them at the hands of many who don't care. We have several foster homes, though they are usually full, but we sometimes keep a waiting list. No promises, but please contact us to see what our resources are if you need to surrender your pet, or have found a stray. Often, we can find other rescue groups with some ideas, and we try to work with them on housing, transporting and adopting.
