The CCAAF is a non-profit, no-kill, all volunteer network for abandoned, neglected and unwanted pets. The need for services for these animals is extremely pronounced since Cheatham Co. currently has no municipal animal control services and no shelter in which to house animals. In May of 2003, our volunteer organization's working name was changed to Cheatham Animal Rescue Effort (C.A.R.E.) to better represent our volunteer rescuers, foster parents and adoption counselors.

We take in one or two homeless rotts at a time, and work with them in our home to assess personality, temperament, training, and needs, then place them up for adoption. Our goal is to find not just any home for each dog, but the perfect match for both the dog, and its new family.
