North Mountain Small Dog RescueNORTH MOUNTAIN SMALL DOG RESCUE is a small breed rescue geared toward but not limited to Pomeranians. Our objective is to rescue and place small breed dogs in need. Located in the Eastern Panhandle of WV, we are very accessible to the Rte 81 corridor as well as Washington DC and Baltimore.. Working independently, there is no building, fostering in private homes. We rescue from many different shelters--and frequently bring animals into our group who might otherwise lose their lives. So we might have anything--from a puppy to a senior who is considered "unadoptable" by a shelter. Safe Haven Dog RescueSafe Haven Dog Rescue is an all breed dog rescue that will show dogs available for adoption by appointment. only, as the rescue does not have a facility,, as the dogs live in foster families homes. The rescue is located outside of Martinsburg, WV, 1/2 hr south of Hagerstown, MD or 1/2 hr north of Winchester, VA, just off of I-81. Safe Haven Dog Rescue takes in neglected, abandoned and "just because they don't want me anymore" dogs and pups and is no -kill.. All rescued dogs are neutered or spayed, current on all shots, tested for lyme and heartworm disease and will have a current 1 year rabies certificate and tag. An adopted dog is wormed and groomed before going to his/her new home.. They all have had some training. Westie/Scottie Rescue of Martinsville, IndianaWSRMI is a small group of volunteers dedicated to the rescue of all breeds/mixed breed dogs from several area shelters. We provide each rescue dog any - and all - necessary medical attention, addressing each individual dog's needs. All dogs are spayed/neutered, HW tested (and treated if positive), fully vaccinated (including ProHeart vaccination), and treated for fleas. As we welcome the dogs into our homes, we are able to socialize, work on crate training and housebreaking, evaluate each individual dog's temperment, how they interact with other dogs, children, and adults. This provides potential adopter's with very important information and assists them in finding a "love match" with one of our dogs.
