Pawprints and Purrs, Inc.Pawprints and Purrs, Inc. (P&PI) is a small all volunteer, animal non-profit rescue organization located in Keithville, Louisiana. We provide an animal educational service to the public by teaching the prevention of animal cruelty, pet guardianship responsibility, and basic cat and dog health care. Our rescue and adoption work is primarily taking an active part in TNR and assisting other feral cat care givers with the socializing, fostering, adopting, and transporting kittens and cats to their new forever homes in our immediate area. We strongly emphasize the value of rescuing and re-homing abandoned, neglected and homeless felines. We assist those in need by providing rescue, shelter, medical care, and locating permanent homes. Little Orphan Angels Animal RescueLittle Orphan Angels Animal Rescue (LOA) is a non-profit humane animal organization dedicated to the rescue and adoption of companion cats and dogs which are needlessly euthanized because they are homeless. LOA's founding members have over 10 years of combined experience in this volunteer based field and have rescued hundreds of animals from local shelters and from individuals who can no longer care for their animals. LOA promotes responsible pet guardianship by requiring all adopted animals to be tested and vaccinated for diseases, examined by qualified veterinarians and spayed or neutered at the appropriate age. LOA screens potential adoption applicants to ensure that the adoption of an animal has the highest possible chance for a successful, lifelong placement. Fireplug RescueWe work almost exclusively with dogs - so we named ourselves Fireplug Rescue. Our group began from the rescue efforts of individuals who often worked through other rescue groups. Dogs rescued came from the streets and shelters of Fort Worth, Texas and its surrounding communities. It was felt that these efforts would be even better served by forming a new group that could expand these efforts even further. The volunteers of Fireplug Rescue believe that given the right opportunity, most dogs can lead safe and happy lives that will benefit the lives of their owners. It is also believed that birth control in the pet population by euthanasia must be stopped, and that the only way to do this is to spay and neuter pets. Therefore, all pets offered for adoption through Fireplug Rescue are spayed and neutered prior to adoption. The only exception is when the current health condition of the pet causes the delay of spaying and neutering surgery. Lake Haven Pet RescueWe are a small, home-based rescue organization in Kelseyville, Ca. Kelseyville is located in Lake County, approximately 2 hours north of San Francisco, and one hour north of Santa Rosa and the Napa Valley. Our organization's mission is to reduce the number of animals being euthanized at Lake County Animal Care and Control in Lakeport, Ca. Because we are a home-based rescue, our cats/kittens and puppies are highly socialized. They receive a ton of love and attention every day making them wonderful potential pets.
