Ruff Beginnings, Inc.Ruff Beginnings was founded in 2006. We were incorporated in 2007, and we are in the process of getting our 501(c)(3) Not-Profit Organization status. The need for more safe places for unwanted, abused and orphaned pets had become so enormous, we decided that we needed to do something to help as many of these animals as possible. We gathered the information that we needed to start a rescue and decided that even though it was going to be a lot of work, if we could save even one life it would all be worth it. Grateful PawsWe are an official 501(c)3 non-profit organization who provides temporary foster care for stray/abandoned cats and dogs. All animals receive appropriate medical care, including necessary vaccinations and sterilization. Many of the animals that come to us are injured, malnurished, or ill and in need of expensive medical care. All animals are treated regardless of price, and cared for in a loving foster home until healthy enough to be adopted. We feel that animals in foster homes do better when placed in new homes than animals coming right out of a shelter, because of the extra care and attention they get in a foster home.
