WI Retired Breeders RescueWe take in retired breeders from commercial kennels and rehabilitate them so they can be adopted into loving homes. These dogs are not use to human contact or anything household related when we get them. They are afraid of people and all new noises, such as the TV, ringing telephone, vaccum cleaner, washing machine, ect..... They have only lived in a kennel as part of a pack. WI-NIAD Small Scale Reptile Rescue (formerly Wisconsin National Iguana Awareness Day)Welcome to the homepage for WI-NIAD Small Scale Reptile Rescue (formerly Wisconsin National Iguana Awareness Day). NIAD was formed to help educate people on what owning an iguana really entails. Since the begining of the rescue when we were iguana only to now, where we take in everything we can, we have been dedicated to two things. Education of proper captive care of reptiles and conservation of reptiles in the wild. If you have questions you can email me directly or you can check out the links that I have provided. You can also find out about Wisconsin Area Happenings that relate to reptiles. As for on a state level we can help you find a good pet store or supply store. We can also offer free educational seminars about iguanas. We also always have many reptiles available for adoption. We work closely with all the state animal control agencies and humane societies to ensure proper care and placement for reptiles that end up in their hands.
