Richland County Friends of Animals, Inc. was incorporated in 1977 as a no-kill animal organization. We are 100% volunteer and 100% non-profit, existing solely on donations and fundraisers.
We have several adult and older cats looking for a lap to sit on, their very own bowl, and a permanent human companion. All of the cats are altered and current on their shots. We ask a $60.00 donation upon adoption for these cats, and will work out a payment plan if this is a financial burden. These cats are all strictly indoor-only cats; they are not mousers and a home visit is part of the adoption process.
We also offer, for those who are not able to get their cat to the veterinary appointment, complimentary pick up and delivery service to our vet. We are also looking for foster homes for some cats until a permanent home is found – all you add is LOVE.

Our purpose is to reduce the stray population and increase the need for healthy animal adoptions through spay/neuter programs, education, and promotion of respect for the less fortunate animals that share out lives. We provide people in our community who would not otherwise have their pets altered with financial assistance for spay and neuter procedures. We are foster-based. We put lost, homeless pets in loving homes for safe shelter, care, rehabilitation, and love until a permanent home is found. We provide educational programs to schools, libraries, and groups to teach children the proper care and treatment of animals. This program also provides area nursing homes and hospitals the love an animal gives with pet visitations.

We are a group of fun people who simply love dogs. It took a lot of thinking about how could we make a difference in being a rescue. There are many rescues but how could we stand out. We decided the best way is to find the nicest, sweetest dogs who just need a home. We are not breed or age specific. We are not even specific on who the adopter could be. We just knew if we had a potential adopter fill out an application, complete a home visit and get to know them we could find them a perfect dog for their home.

The mission of Valley of the Kings Sanctuary and Retreat is to provide a home for abused, abandoned, retired, and injured large felid's, exotic and domestic non-human animals.
We give the best available diet, housing, veterinary care and positive human interaction. Valley of the Kings educates the general public concerning the bond between human and non-human animals in the natural world.
We also teach that private and commercial ownership, hunting for profit or sport, and the destruction of natural habitat will mean eventual extinction for these creatures. Lastly, we teach that when we remove animals from the wild, we take their freedom and wildness, the essence of their being.
