Our mission is to save the lives of highly adoptable dogs that are in danger of euthanasia or in desparate need of a new home. All dogs are placed in foster homes where they receive housebreaking, socialization and some basic training. We only place animals with good temperament and
good health that are suitable as family companions. We adopt dogs as companions and sometimes as service animals.
We offer assistance in dog training, dog selection and behavior modification.
We network with other local animal welfare organizations to rescue dogs and find suitable homes for them.

Summit Assistance Dogs is a nonprofit organization that provides highly-skilled assistance dogs for people with disabilities. Occasionally we have dogs for adoption who do not meet the stringent requirements we have for a working assistance dog but who will make excellent pets or perhaps perform well in another working capacity. To adopt a dog, please first call or e-mail us for more information about the dog you are interested in.

Old Dog Haven is a very small group of people with a network of foster homes and supporters. Our goal is to provide a loving, safe home for senior dogs abandoned at this stage of their lives. When we have room, and the means, we take these dogs into our homes; if possible we adopt out those with a reasonable life-expectancy. We care for the rest as long as they have good quality of life. In addition, we try to assist owners in finding new homes for their senior dogs through our website and referrals.

My ability to not cage and care for all my animals in a home setting is limiting when it comes to numbers of rescues I can make. I also receive lots of requests about personal cats that you can no longer keep. I apologize, but I must save my room for strays, injured or sick older cats and kittens only.
