We are a no-kill/limited entry group; we believe and support the No More Homeless Pets and spay/neuter initiatives. All animals adopted from AARRFF are spayed or neutered before being placed. We provide sanctuary and rehabilitation and, when the right home comes along, rehome needy small dogs (and others when our volunteers can't resist). We maintain a waiting list of homes and our efforts are funded solely through adoption fees and donations.

The Grand Strand Humane Society takes in animals brought in by the
City of Myrtle Beach Animal Control as well as those
brought into the shelter by members of the community.
We are 100% committed to providing excellent guest service to our visitors
as well as the best care possible for our animals. We employ a concept
known as “social marketing in which we seek to understand why people
feel the way they do about animals and then try to influence
their behavior in a positive manner.
