Spay and Save is a nonprofit organization, classified under Section 501(c)(3) by the IRS. We are volunteers dedicated to animals and the people who help animals. We have been in operation since 1981, and serve Philadelphia and the five county area. We provide low cost neuter/spay certificates to those in need. We also provide help to elderly or handicapped people who are unable to help their own pets, offering transportation to the vet and furnishing food from our food bank. We also place many abandoned dogs and cats. Our volunteers are constantly working to place animals in adoptive loving homes through advertising and word of mouth. Our program even extends to the remote areas of Chester and Bucks County horsebarns. We deliver and acclimate barn cats who are welcome and wanted for rodent control.

Willing Hearts Dal Rescue, Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization. We are small group of volunteers who bonded through the internet because of their common love of the Dalmatian breed. It is our mission to rescue dals who have been abandoned, abused, and those in shelters facing death. We take dals into our homes and foster them while we evaluate them for temperament while teaching them to love and trust again, and give them all the medical care they need including spay and neuter. Presently we are so overloaded that we have had to kennel a few as we have no foster homes available.

The PFCS shelter is a full-service ferret rescue and shelter organization. We currently have one main shelter facility where our adoptable ferrets are cared for. The Forget-Me-Not Ferret Rescue, located near Harrisburg, is run by Tracy Acker. We also have a network of trained foster facilities who also operate under the guidelines of the PFCS to help with special-needs ferrets or when our main shelters are full. Our Director of Shelter Operations, Kym Costanzo, oversees the entire shelter network and manages the administration of the shelter. All adoption and surrender requests are processed by the Director of Shelter Operations and then passed along to the appropriate shelter director. The shelter directors handle adoption screening and surrender intake, as well as the enormous task of caring for the ferrets 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
