Pennsylvania Ferret Rescue Association of Westmoreland CountyThe Pennsylvania Ferret Rescue Association is one of over two hundred ferret shelters in the United States devoted solely to the needs of domestic ferrets and their owners. The PFRA functions as a placement/referral service for individuals seeking to place their ferret(s) in a new home and for persons interested in adopting ferrets. Community Angel NetworkWe are Westmoreland Countys finest all volunteer "no kill" animal rescue group. We adopt through a network of caring volunteers who provide loving foster homes and the Greensburg Petsmart. Our pets are adopted to exceptional forever homes only. Community Angel Network relies on donations and fund raisers to operate and receives no government funding. We receive no local or federal government funding, making our operation completely dependent on private donations. Our shelter offers a 4 room home environment that is entirely CAGE FREE. We shelter anywhere from 30 - 75 cats or kittens. You can often find our felines lounging on the couch, climbing a cat tree, or romping on the carpet. This type of environment makes selecting a cat much easier for the adoptee since they can observe their true personality and how they interact with people. Each cat/kitten taken into the shelter is FeLV/FIV tested, veterinary checked, and vaccinated.
