Who are we?
Little Orphan Animals, founded in April 1993, is a no-kill, not-for-profit volunteer-based animal rescue group in Northern Westchester County. Our animals, mostly cats, are on display daily inside the Luv-A-Pet center at Petsmart in the Cortlandt Town Center, Mohegan Lake, NY. The mission of the Humane Society of Yates County is to advance the humane treatment of animals in Yates County, New York. This is accomplished through actions which promote the adoption of stray or unwanted animals, which reduce cruelty to dogs and cats, and which reduce the over breeding of domestic animals. The Humane Society of Yates County depends on volunteer and private financial assistance from the residents of Yates County to carry out its program.

Elmore SPCA is a small animal shelter handling animals from several towns in Clinton County, NY. We are doing our best to find homes for the many Dogs, cats and various small animals who find their way here. We also have several animals, who will remain in our care permanently due to injury or illness that requires specialized care and attention. We have SENIOR & HOSPICE programs that help these animals get the proper attention they need.

the owner of the farm, started this facility after a numerous amount of livestock, horses and smaller farm animals were found to be homeless. This includes horses, goats, geese, chickens, and other animals. Kelly Allen is the manager of the Elmore SPCA in Peru, and she is also the Cruelty investigator for the northern New York area. Some of the animals at our facility have been seized under the cruelty laws of New York State.
We also have handicapped and disabled animals that are up for adoption depending on the special needs. Some of the animals at the facility are permanent residents due to cancers, lameness, and other ailments, But these animals may be sponsored.
