Sandhills Animal Rescue League is a non-profit, volunteer-operated organization located in the beautiful Sandhills of North Carolina. Our mission is to provide a safe haven for unwanted felines and canines until they are adopted into loving homes. Our volunteers foster these pets in their own homes and often pay for certain expenses from their own pockets. Our "rescues" come from many sources, including our local pound. After we bring the pets into our care, they are evaluated by our veterinarian, rehabilitated if necessary, then given appropriate preventive veterinary care. Once they are healthy, our only desire is to place them into loving homes

Saving Graces 4 Felines was founded because it was determined that no organization in the area was available to help cats that were abandoned, stray, or feral living in less than desirable conditions. This situation has contributed to cat-overpopulation in an area that has become a haven for animal abandonment from local educational institutions and uncaring people who think of domestic animals as disposable, because of the saturation of eateries that contribute to the waste which has become a source of food, and because of the growing rental properties that are abundant in a rapidly growing community. Additionally, the flooding from Hurricane Floyd in 1999 left countless animals homeless to fend for food from these sources. Our goal is to rescue, and either place cats into loving homes, or continue our trap/neuter/return program that has proven an effective tool in reducing the over-population. Additionally, education for responsible pet ownership will be conducted. Saving Graces 4 Felines attempts to reduce the population of these cats, reducing the suffering created by humankind, and to find lifelong, loving homes for those that are domesticated enough to become forever pets.
