Island Cat AlliesISLAND CAT ALLIES is a local non-profit group servicing Emerald Isle, NC and the surrounding areas. Our main objective is to increase the welfare of local feral cats through TNR (trap-neuter-release) programs. UPDATE ON NUMBERS!!!!! To date, we have spayed/neutered and vaccinated over 235 feral cats thus improving their quality of life and diminishing wild cat populations. The cats are identifiable by having their left ear tipped. All populations are monitored and always are provided with appropriate shelter and food. Occasionally, we run across kittens born to a feral mom, who are easily tamed and we have several adult cats who are super friendly and have apparently become lost or abandoned. KitKat Feline RescueI am an independent rescuer who feeds several feral cat colonies and have worked hard to get all the cats spayed and neutered to prevent the birth of unwanted kittens. The kittens I have for adoption are usually the offspring of these feral kitties who have been tamed and deserve loving homes. I sometimes come across tame stray kitties who show up at the feral colonies so I try to find them homes as well.
