Hi Plains Animal RescueWhile we do not have an actual shelter here, we try to help save animals from the terrible fates that await them at the hands of many who don't care. We have several foster homes, though they are usually full, but we sometimes keep a waiting list. No promises, but please contact us to see what our resources are if you need to surrender your pet, or have found a stray. Often, we can find other rescue groups with some ideas, and we try to work with them on housing, transporting and adopting. White German Shepherd RescueAfter 2 years of dedicated rescuing, the National White German Shepherd Rescue no longer has foster homes available. Therefor, can not offer the help so many abandoned/abused/neglected white German shepherds need. Through no fault of their own, these dogs have little or no chance at all at love and even at life. Please find it in your hearts to help this wonderful breed in any way you can. Adopting, fostering or even sponsoring will give them the chance to live just a while longer. Operation TopcatOperation Topcat is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed in 1995 by a few residents of Topsail Island, NC to assist individuals who were trying to do the same thing we were: help the stray and feral cats in our area. Our organization follows the Trap/Neuter/Return (T/N/R) program recommended internationally. With this method, feral (wild) cats are trapped, neutered, and have an ear tipped for easy recognition.
