Sandhills Animal Rescue League, IncSandhills Animal Rescue League is a non-profit, volunteer-operated organization located in the beautiful Sandhills of North Carolina. Our mission is to provide a safe haven for unwanted felines and canines until they are adopted into loving homes. Our volunteers foster these pets in their own homes and often pay for certain expenses from their own pockets. Our "rescues" come from many sources, including our local pound. After we bring the pets into our care, they are evaluated by our veterinarian, rehabilitated if necessary, then given appropriate preventive veterinary care. Charlotte Cocker Rescue of NCCharlotte Cocker Rescue was started in 2001 by Larry and Donna Carpenter. Our rescue mission is helping homeless cocker spaniels from North Carolina shelters, sometimes strays and owner give ups. Our focus is mostly shelter animals as they only have limited time to either get adopted, reclaimed by owners or rescued by rescue groups such as ours. We began our dream in 2001 after taking in our Charlie from WV and adopting our Sam from MD. We were shocked how many homeless cocker spaniels there were in shelters. We are searching for volunteers, foster homes, who will be dedicated to our rescue mission. Our vet is Cabarrus Animal Hospital for which we have been a loyal client since 1991 and they have the best vets on duty there.
