Kirby's Friends Animal RescueWe've been around officially for two years. We have a shelter in Saginaw County but our office is at the Flint address. We are primarily a dog rescue although we've placed birds and rabbits once or twice. We are an all-breed rescue. We specialize in big, black dogs, and mixed breeds because they are the last to get adopted but we love them all. We are presently self-funded so we could use any help we can get, especially need volunteers. Knapptime Adoption Rescue and Education (KARE) is a Rescue and a Temporary Sanctuary Facility for exotic birds. We provide birds a stable,loving home for the duration of their stay at KARE. Petsafe Rescue AllianceOur main goal is to find permanent, loving homes for the cats and dogs who are sick, injured, abandoned or unwanted and at risk of being euthanized. Each animal is seen by one of our veterinarians, updated on all vaccines, spayed or neutered, tested for diseases and given a health certificate. Dogs are also put on Heartworm and Flea preventative. Our animals are placed in a loving foster home until a good, permanent home for them can be found. Each pet receives daily one-on-one care and attention while in foster care. We work on training and socialization skills to help each pet be the best they can be.
