We are a group of volunteer's who along with other rescue's seek to save, foster and adopt out lifetime companions. We do not have a shelter, all our dogs are in foster homes. This allows us to check the dogs behavior and personality. The hope is that we can match each "angel" with the right family. We are a non-profit 501c3 organization!! This makes it possible for any donation to be tax deductible to you! You may donate cash, food and other dog related items. E-mail us if you would like us to pick items up. Monetary donations can be mailed to our address below or made in person at one of the shows. We also offer the PayPal option, simply use the button below and follow the directions.

Michigan Basset Rescueis a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1992. Since then, our primary goal has remained the same: to find permanent homes for bassets in need. MBR does not receive any local, state, or federal funding. Instead, MBR is funded solely by private donations and fundraising events. Most of the money we receive goes toward veterinary care for the rescued bassets, including any required surgeries, spay/neutering, vaccinations, heartworm teatment and more. Other expenditures go toward shelter fees, boarding, transportation expenses, food, grooming, rescue tags, collars, leashes, miscellaneous fundraising expenses and foster care expenses.

We are a new rescue to the area of Waterford Township. It is our goal to provide homeless and/or unwanted dogs with loving "furever" homes. All of our dogs will be spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They will also be up-to-date on all necessary shots, lab test, etc... All of our veterinary care is provided by Dr. Mark Herne, who is the owner and operator of North Oakland Visiting Vet (NOVV) located in Waterford, MI. He is kind enough to offer rescue rates for all our animals, so adoption fees are kept at a minimum.

Almost Home Animal Rescue League is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to finding loving forever homes for homeless animals. We are strongly against the senseless act of euthanasia of adoptable animals and are continuously striving to make euthanasia a thing of the past. We are made up of a group of dedicated volunteers, without them, Almost Home Animal Rescue League would not exist. We do not have a shelter and rely on our foster families to temporarily house our animals. Ultimately, our greatest dream come true would be to build a shelter........A "REAL" no-kill shelter.

The dogs/puppies live with one of us so we can tell you their personalities and what endears them to us. Our hope is to find them forever homes with new owners that will consider them an important part of their family. All have been given shots, been spayed or nuetered, and vet checked for good health.
