Southern Illinois Pet Society, commonly known as SIPS, was formed in 2002 by concerned residents of Alexander and Pulaski counties in Illinois. There was a serious need in our area for some type of pet rescue organization, and our organization was formed to meet the needs of our local communities.
SIPS is not a facility.

BREW Midwest rescues beagles from Western Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, and Southeastern Wisconsin. We receive pleas on a daily basis from shelters, animals control officers, vet offices and the general public throughout the states we cover asking for assistance in placing beagles in need. Most of the time, the request for assistance is the dogs last chance…and if we can’t help because of our lack of foster homes, the beagle usually find his/her life on the line. Unfortunately, we NEVER have enough foster homes

A & S Rescue is a small rescue group dedicated to finding permanent and loving homes for American Staffordshire Terriers ("AmStaffs") and American Pit Bull Terriers ("Pit Bulls"). Prior to placement, all dogs are spayed and /or neutered and up to date on necessary vaccinations relevant to the dog's age. When possible, our dogs live in foster homes with foster families, where volunteers evaluate the dog's temperment, learn their behavioral quirks and work on basic obedience and manners. We endeavor to place each AmStaff and Pit Bull into a home best-suited for each individual dog. We carefully screen all applicants; a home visit and reference checks are required to ensure that the adoption is a good match- one that provides a permanent and loving home for the dog! Further, we maintain contact with our adoptive families and encourage them to contact us with any questions or concerns. If for ANY reason the Rescue AmStaff or Pit Bull is not working out in its new home, we require the dog to be returned to us as stated in our adoption contract. Upon return, we will reevaluate the dog and possibly consider placement into a different, more suitable home. Under no circumstances will we place our Rescue AmStaffs or Pit Bulls into homes where the dog will be subjected to dog fighting. We are strongly opposed to all forms of dog fighting and similar forms of animal abuse.

A new, not-for-profit, all-volunteer organization based in Northern Illinois, Underdog Rescue is founded on the belief that kindness to animals builds a better world for all of us.
Underdog Rescue matches wonderful people with wonderful pets. Our adopters are wonderful people with a special place in their hearts for orphaned, abandoned or negected dogs and cats. Most of our wonderful pets are dogs and cats who would otherwise be euthanized (killed) at overcrowded animal control facilities. Our work grows out of our passion for the "little guys"--waifs and strays who've had a bit of bad luck but never quit hoping to win someone's heart and a home. All our animals have a story. Our goal is give each one a happy ending.

The Buddy Foundation of Arlington Heights, Illinois was established by the concerned and caring animal lovers from Chicago’s Northwest Suburbs, based on the necessity for a quality no-kill animal shelter. We are strictly an all volunteer organization with all funding - from adoption fees to our many fundraisers - benefiting the animals in our care. The Buddy Foundation is dedicated to finding good, loving, responsible homes for the dogs/puppies and cats/kittens that we foster. Our goal is to help them become cherished family members and receive the attention and gentle kindness they so deserve. Most of our animals were found strayed or abandoned in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. We are a small shelter with limited resources. Thus, we do not like to take in unwanted pets. Instead, we encourage pet owners to be committed to their pets by providing them with a safe & secure home for their lifetime.
