The Centralia Humane Society is a no kill non-profit organization and dedicated to animal protection and awareness. We are established to prevent cruelty and abuse to all creatures. We operate strictly as volunteers. Our funds come from donations, fundrasiers, memorials and membership dues. We help return lost pets to their rightful owners . We have found good homes for 385 pets last year. We investigate cruelty and abuse cases. We help those that would like to adopt a pet and give them a loving home but cannot afford all the veterinary expenses involved with spaying, neutering, shots, etc. We pay veterinarian expenses for unclaimed injured animals. We help educate the public, help enforce and update excisting animal laws. We also have Wildlife rehabilitation with no funding from any outside source only by donation.
Donations and foster parents are in extreme need right now. If you can be of help in this or any other area of animal rescue please contact us at Centraliahumane@yahoo.com or call Lilo Quick at (618)533-2011 or (618)533-4722.

I saw a real need for pet rescue in the Centralia area. So many animals are euthanized each year in the Centralia Shelter that I decided to get out there and help the Humane Society out. I started out fostering for the Centralia Humane Society, but I wanted to do more. My main focus is on pulling cats and dogs from the city shelter, but I do take strays in off the street from time to time.

Our mission is to maintain the integrity, well-being, and health of hooved animals through education first.
SHARE is a nonprofit humane society established in 2005 in the Champaign area. We have investigators that cover a large portion of Illinois.
At SHARE, our goal is to help equines trapped in situations of abuse and starvation. It is also our wish as well to educate horse owners on how to properly care for their horses.
The humane society offers to help educate owners on the proper daily care and maintenance; vetting and hoof care as well as nutrition and emergencies. The society also rescues severely neglected horses and provides rehabilitation services and placement through adoption.

Cat Overpopulation Planned Endeavor is a 501c3 non profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of stray and feral cats through sterilization and education. C.O.P.E. would like to see a day when no more cats are living homeless and forgotten on the streets. Until that day arrives, however, we are dedicated to spaying and neutering as many cats as we can, while providing care for colonies of feral cats and removing non-feral strays from the streets and placing them into our adoption program whenever possible.

We are located in IL but have foster homes and use boarding kennels throughout IL, IN and WI. We do not have a physical shelter facility so we cannot always take in a dog but we will do our best to help you find a home for a dog in need. We do adopt out nationally but please remember you will be required to pay for all transportation costs and there will be special provisions to your adoption. Also we will require that you do come and meet the dog before taking it home as well. If you cannot do this we will refer you to a local pit bull rescue to better suit your needs.
