Cause For Paws is a small rescue group serving the Durham & Middlefield towns in Connecticut. We currently trap - alter - release adult feral cats in Durham and Middlefield - using an in-home volunteer foster care system, we socialize and place kittens in new permanent homes. Because we take these kitties into our homes we cannot take in adult cats and focus solely on the feral & strays from the towns of Durham and Middlefield.

Currently animals are housed in foster homes. Training classes for new adoptions are also part of our future plans and we hope to have an actual training center next to the kennel... Bandit's Place would also hope to, at some point, acquire a transport van which would enable us to rescue animals in a more efficient manner.

The East Haven Animal Shelter is a municipal shelter serving East Haven, CT. Through the efforts of the Animal Control Officers and a dedicated group of volunteers, our mission is to increase adoptions and teach owners responsibilty for their pets. Unfortunately, we are not a no-kill shelter. The good news is that due to the extraordinary efforts of the Animal Control Officer and volunteers, EHAS has a high placement rate. However , if we fill up, animals will be euthanized due to lack of space. Should that occur, we will place an alert on the top of our web page
