At the present time, PURRR does not have its own shelter facility, but is certainly working towards that goal. In the meantime, we rely on many foster homes here in California (both in Northern and Southern California) to help care for the cats we take in prior to finding them a permanent home. PURRR provides for medical care and other needs for cats in its foster homes. PURRR also networks with other organizations such as "Project Purr" in Santa Cruz, CA, as well as All Creatures Sanctuary in MO, by assisting with their medical needs. PURRR is committed to 1) assisting cats with special needs (elderly, FIV+, FeLV+, orphaned, feral, etc.) and 2) to ensuring donations are only used for the direct care and maintenance of the animals. PURRR fulfills its commitments by making payments direct to the veterinarians providing services. Donations are NEVER used for any administrative costs. Our volunteers pay for printing our newsletter, postage, and other miscellaneous supplies, as well as for food and litter for cats in our foster home network. Your donations pay for medical costs, i.e., spay/neuter, medications, examinations, other surgeries and medical needs, prescription foods, etc.

About Zara's List...each and every person in the organization has a story that details their journey. Some have been around for years and others have just recently joined our group. As a whole we are all committed to saving as many animals as we possibly can from euthanasia in our local shelters or intercepting those who are on their way to the shelter. We strive to educate those around us on animal welfare issues as well as the necessity of spaying/neutering our companion animals to stop the endless tide of killing in our shelters.

Greyfoot Cat Rescue is a non-profit, all volunteer organization. We depend on donations to fund our program. Greyfoot Cat rescue was founded in 1998 in order to assist the homeless cats of Ventura county. Greyfoot has rescued, rehabilitated, spay or neutered and placed thousands of cats since established. We also have created a rural sanctuary for unwanted cats with special needs. Unfortunatly we are completely full to capacity and cannot take in any other non-adoptable cats at this time. The tragic overpopulation epidemic of cats can only be reversed through the preventive measures of spay or neuter surgery. We envision a time when every cat born will be a wanted one
