We care for stray and homeless animals, including cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, rabbits and other animals such as chickens, guinea pigs or iguanas. We always hope the family will come to reclaim their lost pet, but is not, we work to find a loving new family for them. While the animals stay with us, we provide a warm place to sleep, good food and keep them safe from dangers such as cars. We ensure that dogs are current on their rabies vaccinaton and license. At Animal Services, our goal is to ensure that all the animals in our County have a safe place to live. We work hard to find loving homes for the many dogs, cats, rabbits and other animals that come into our care. Together, with community partners and concerned citizens, we are making sure that all these animals have a "Forever Home!"

Santé D’or was conceptualized during the summer of 2002. Three women seeking opportunities with animals met whilst volunteering their time at a local no-kill animal shelter for dogs. Being quick learners, they managed to handle the daily operations of a shelter, including extensive breed knowledge and skills surrounding animals. As months went by, what began as a friendship quickly spun into a partnership based on dreams to ultimately rescue, heal and care for all animal companions.
