Grateful Dogs Rescue: Grateful Dogs, a non-profit organization, was founded over 10 years ago by Michelle Parris, a former SF Animal Care & Control volunteer. She made it her mission to rescue "un-adoptable dogs," i.e. dogs not made available for adoption because they needed some medical help or some behavioral training. Rather than letting these dogs be euthanized, Grateful Dogs saves as many as possible by fostering these special-needs dogs until a loving home is found. Greyfoot Cat Rescue is a non-profit, all volunteer organization. We depend on donations to fund our program. Greyfoot Cat rescue was founded in 1998 in order to assist the homeless cats of Ventura county. Greyfoot has rescued, rehabilitated, spay or neutered and placed thousands of cats since established. We also have created a rural sanctuary for unwanted cats with special needs. Unfortunatly we are completely full to capacity and cannot take in any other non-adoptable cats at this time. The tragic overpopulation epidemic of cats can only be reversed through the preventive measures of spay or neuter surgery. We envision a time when every cat born will be a wanted one

Greyhound Connection's mission is simply to make a difference - one greyhound at a time. Founded in 2000, GC was formed by several greyhound rescue volunteers who believed a key ingredient was missing in local greyhound programs, and that was FOSTERING. GC believes that an important step in helping a retired greyhound transition from racer to couch potato is a short period of time living in a foster home, where they are introduced to unfamiliar things such as stairs, tile floors, sliding glass doors, children, cats, and more. Equally as important, fostering allows us to learn more about the dogs' individual personalities so that we can make the best match with a new family. This process sometimes takes a little more time, but we want all of our adoptions to be lifelong.
