Zooh Corner Rabbit Rescue was founded in 1993 by Alexandra Logsdon who was joined by her husband, Patrick, in 1996. We are a local, non profit, no-kill rabbit welfare organization based in San Gabriel, California. Our mission is threefold: to rescue, treat, spay/neuter and place as house pets, rabbits that have been abused, neglected, injured or dumped; to educate the public on rabbit health care and needs; to stop the irresponsible breeding and selling of rabbits.

California Horse Protection began several years ago as Loren and James Hardie's efforts to help horses in need. Until 1999 it was entirely funded by their incomes-- her work as a horse dentist and his as a financial advisor. Interest grew in their work and more people wished to help so the decision was made to create a formal non-profit organization. The organization is now incorporated in California and received its 501(c)3 designation August 16, 2000.

The City of San José created the Animal Care & Services division in 2001. This was in response to the Humane Society Silicon Valley's notification that they could no longer continue providing shelter and field service contracts for Santa Clara County cities. With the completion of the City of San José's new Animal Care Center, the City of San José itself is now providing shelter and field services for San José residents and for residents of Cupertino, Los Gatos, Milpitas and Saratoga.
