SC PAWSC p.a.w. (people for animal welfare) is an organization committed to rescuing stray animals on or near the University of Southern California campus. Once these animals are rescued, they are given any medical care they need including: vaccinations, spaying and neutering, and other more serious medical care. SC p.a.w. attempts to find foster homes for these animals in order to keep them out of public shelters where they are euthanized within a matter of days. We are also committed to finding suitable adoptive homes for each animal. Each perspective adoptive family is screened and paid a home visit so that we can make sure that the animal is going to a loving home with a family who wants the animal for a pet. DOG's LIFE RESCUEA Dog's Life Rescue is a newly founded rescue organization in Los Angeles, California. The group started with more than 15 animals in its care, which it took on after Connect-A-Pet Rescue's disband in early 2005. Partners Julia Pennington, Keely Quinn, and Allison Lange have over 10 years of experience in animal rescue, and are very excited to be continuing their rescue work together with A Dog's Life Rescue. Animals AnonymousWe are a 501c(3) non-profit organization run completly by volunteers. Our goal is to stop the killing and suffering of animals. We are reducing pet overpopulation by helping people to spay and neuter identify (so lost animals can find their way home), train (so people don't give up their animals), and adopt rather than breed (so homeless animals can have a home). Our accomplishments include launching the city's first mobile spay/neuter van that travels to low income areas, funding and implementing a spay/neuter voucher program to encourage and make it affordable, and producing and airing t.v. ads on the importance of spay/neuter. Our most recent project is to fund and open a veterinary clinic that will accept all animals, regardless of ability to pay. All donations are used directly for the animals, and are fully tax deductible.
