Room for One More is a 501(c)(3) non-profit shelter for homeless, abused, abandoned animals whose time has run out at Citrus County Animal Shelter. We do not take animals from the public at the present time but hope to in the future. It is our mission to ensure that one day, all animals in Citrus County are valued as companions and have loving, "Forever Homes". We are dedicated to trying to raise the awareness of the public of the importance of spaying/neutering their pets. The Humanitarians of Florida, Inc., assist in providing low cost spay/neuter and medical services for the many animals who pass through our shelter.

Rooterville is home to over 100 rescued animals. Most of our residents are pot bellied pigs because, well, we LOVE PIGS! Of course, we like other animals as well, and they are welcome here too, but there are very few places helping pot bellied pigs so, we are always busy! Because we believe that ALL animals are capable of suffering and feeling pain, we encourage everyone to choose a compassionate lifestyle by avoiding eating animals and using animal products. Being a vegetarian is better for you, the environment and definitely for the animals, especially the intelligent, gentle, sensitive and silly pig! At Rooterville, we know that "PIGS ARE FOR LOVIN', NOT THE OVEN!"

We are a County Funded Animal Shelter serving the towns of Roscommon, Higgins Lake, St Helen, Houghton Lake, Prudenville and part of Gladwin. Most animals that come to our shelter are found as strays but we attempt to help people find homes for unwanted pets as room at the shelter allows. Our staff and volunteers are committed to the humane treatment of animals. We try to educate the public as best we can, when we can.

We are an established clinic in Northwest Arkansas dedicated to excellence in animal care. We currently have two full time veterinarians and one part time veterinarian. Working with the Bentonville shelter, we manage their feline finds. Currently, we are involved in spay/neuter programs with several rescue groups and are working to expand our ability to help with not just adoptions but also continuing care of animals that leave our facility

all-breed rescue run by a small group of volunteers. We primarily focus on local pound rescues because we feel these are the animals in the most dire need of a second chance.
We are committed to educating the public on the importance of spay and neuter, routine vaccinations, heartworm protection, and aids and leukemia testing for cats.
