Raining Cats and Dogs is a no kill, non profit organization. The majority of our rescue animals are emergency cases: They have been rescued days before euthanasia at animal control, or have been taken in emaciated and covered in mange as strays, or even rescued from cars nearly hitting them

The Raleigh County Animal Rescue (RCAR) whose home base is located in Coal City, WV was active in rescuing our pet companions prior to becoming an organization in March 2003. The RCAR is a small "no-kill" organization and operates only through donations and volunteers. Currently we are dedicated to helping homeless, abandoned or abused animals. Our efforts are guided toward finding permanent homes for our animals. Along with this, we stress the importance of neutering and spaying all pets in order to maintain their good health and benefit society.
The Raleigh County Animal Rescue (RCAR), a no-kill shelter, and the Humane Society of Raleigh County (HSRC) a.k.a. Raleigh County Animal Shelter (RCAS), a kill shelter, are two totally different organizations

Who We Are Randi's Rescues is a small rescue organization started with the goal to TNR (trap, neuter and release) as many cats as possible with the hope of reducing the overpopulation problem. Feral cats are returned to their colonies after surgery and any kittens or social adults are taken in until we can find a safe and loving home. We provide a comfortable, nurturing environment where the cats can be held and played with on a daily basis while awaiting adoption. The cats are taken to a veterinarian where they are tested, given their shots and spayed or neutered. Please call us if you are interested in adopting a cat.
