Precious Pets Animal RescueWe are a very small group of animal lovers who hate to see precious loving animals go unwanted and uncared for. We take animals from kill shelters and other places where they may have been neglected or abused and make them well and happy so they might find a good loving home. We do not have a shelter or a kennel. Each animal is placed in one of our foster homes and they are vetted and get all the medical care needed to make them healthy for adoption. Our funds come strictly from donations and fund raisers. Right now we are in need of funds and also more foster homes so we can save more animals. Preston County (WV) Animal ShelterThe Preston County Animal Shelter is a municipal animal control facility located in Kingwood, in northcentral West Virginia. We are the only animal control facility in a large, rural county. Space is limited and intake is high, so pets often do not remain very long. We are not a no-kill shelter, and our adoption rate is approximately 40%, with puppies and toy breed adult dogs having the highest adoption rate, adult dogs over 15 lbs., cats, and kittens having the lowest.
