The Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League, Inc. (MAGDRL) was organized in 1979 to serve the seven states of the Mid-Atlantic region. The organization is a DC corporation and has a charitable tax-exemption under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
MAGDRL is staffed completely by volunteers. Like all humane groups, MAGDRL is in the unique position of helping both humans and pets. In our case, the pets are Great Danes and mixed Dane dogs, and the people are those who have or want the companionship of the breed or, often, just dogs in general.

The Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League, Inc. (MAGDRL) was organized in 1979 to serve the seven State Mid-Atlantic regions. MAGDRL helps Danes by providing for the rescue and care of those who have been abandoned, neglected and/or abused by their previous owners. We spay/neuter and provide medical treatment necessary to return the Dane to good health. We also provide training and socialization to ensure their adaptability to new homes. We work to place rescued Danes with people who will provide secure, loving and healthy homes. To do this, MAGDRL screens the applicant and the home, checks references, and enters into a legally binding agreement with the adopting family. We require that the rescued Dane be kept inside the house: a member of the family.

Mid-Atlantic Pug Rescue is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization . We here at Mid-Atlantic Pug Rescue, Inc. are a group of diverse individuals who have united for the purpose of rescuing Pugs. We come from many walks of life, and have agreed to donate our many and varied talents so that pugs everywhere can live out their lives with comfort, love and caring. We are all volunteers, with no paid employees. Each person serves in the way best suited to their lifestyle and individual skills. All pugs are fostered in private homes, given any vet care needed, and their personalities are carefully assessed to determine exactly the sort of home they need.

The Saint Bernard Rescue Foundation is the ONLY group endorsed by the Saint Bernard Club of America to conduct rescue activities on behalf of our terrific breed. Dogs come into our program for all sorts of reasons: Owners divorce. Or move and can't take their dog with them. Or the owner is ill or dies. Or the kids have allergies. Or the owner just doesn't have time for the dog. Sometimes a dog is picked up as a stray, with no identification and no way to return him to his family. Additionally, we partner with area shelters who turn to us for assistance when a Saint is surrendered to them.
