Labrador Retriever Rescue-CT, IncThe group was founded in 1996 and organized through long time participation with the Labrador Retriever Club, Inc National Rescue Program. All LRRCT labs are for the most part purebred. We do accept some compatible "retriever" mixes but essentially the predominant look and temperament is one of a Labrador Retriever. Our labs come into our program from shelters, veterinarians and owner surrenders. They are given up because of family relocation, divorce, allergies, serious illness/death of the owner or simply because their owners do not have enough time for them All of our labs are evaluated for temperament and have been kid/cat/dog tested. All of our labs are spayed/neutered, up to date on immunizations and heartworm/lyme tested. Labs4RescueWe are a group of Labrador retriever lovers throughout the United States who are committed to finding good homes for abandoned Labrador Retrievers. Due to the popularity of Labrador Retrievers, many wonderful Labs have been discarded in shelters around the US and are desperate to find new homes. Labs4Rescue is dedicated to saving labs and finding them new homes in New England. We arrange transportation for each of our labs. LAC Rescue CrittersMy other mission has become to place unwanted pets in loving homes. All the pets I adopt out are spayed/neutered. I put a big emphasis on spaying and neutering because a lot of people may not be aware of how large the pet overpopulation is. This past fall I had the opportunity to volunteer at Operation Cat Nap (OCN). OCN is Auburn University's Vet School sponsored event. Ladybug's K9 RescueWe are 3 people who just love dogs. We believe that all dogs deserve a family, not a cage. Until there are laws that protect dogs better, and shut down the mills, we will be out there, saving as many as we can from having to live a life that’s only purpose is trying to survive being kept in cages with no human contact, no love, no grass to run and play in, no toys, being bred as often as they come into heat- being destroyed when they are no longer useful because the puppy mill does not want to spend money feeding a dog who is useless.
