We are volunteers for the Cherokee County Animal Shelter. Most all of the animals shown on this website are at the Cherokee County Animal Shelter. This shelter houses the unwanted and stray animals of Cherokee County. They also work with recognized animal rescue groups to rescue shelter animals that are not reclaimed by their owners.

FOCAS stands for Friends of County Animal Shelters. FOCAS exists primarily to encourage a strong adoption program for animals impounded in the three shelters operated by the County of San Diego Department of Animal Services.
FOCAS is a volunteer, non-profit organization formed to help the lost and abandoned dogs and cats in these public shelters. We are a tax-exempt 501(C)(3) charity. FOCAS has no shelters of its own, but works with the three County shelters: North (Carlsbad), South (Bonita), and Central San Diego. FOCAS assists these dogs and cats in a variety of ways

The Friends of Del Rio Animals is a brand new rescue group located in Del Rio, TX. We are just getting started, and have recently acquired our 501(c)3 status. We are committed to reducing the feral/stray cat population in Calvert County through non-lethal means. We instruct volunteers on how to trap, neuter, return and manage feral colonies. Adoptable cats and kittens are placed in foster homes until the perfect home is found.
