In cases where a cat or dog is not adoptable it remains at the shelter until their natural death. It is a grassroots organization run by one person, Marie Sanner and a few volunteers. Cats R UsOur main focus is TNR (Trap, Neuter and Return). Our shelter in Arnold, Maryland is our "TNR" shelter. TNR is a full management plan in which stray and feral cats already living outdoors, in cities, towns and rural areas are humanely trapped, then evaluated, vaccinated, sterilized, and eartipped for identification by veterinarians. We DO NOT take feral cats as we have no facility to house them. We DO NOT take giveaways but can direct you to another organization that might take your cat.
